How do I add a page from my Android browser?
Install the PageCrawl Android app, sign in, then share a webpage from your browser to PageCrawl. The address is filled in automatically. Choose what to track, review the check frequency and notification options, then tap Start monitoring. The app uses the same workspaces and monitors as PageCrawl on the web.
- Install PageCrawl from Google Play and sign in.
- Open the page you want to monitor in Chrome or another browser.
- Open the browser's Share menu and choose PageCrawl.
- Choose an option under What to track, such as Full Page Text, Price, or Restock, when available for that page.
- Review the check frequency and any Where to notify me options shown, then tap Start monitoring.
Sharing works from apps that send a web address. You can also paste the address directly into PageCrawl. If a page needs a website login or other advanced setup, continue on the web; sharing its address does not transfer the browser's signed-in session.
How do I get alerts on this phone?
Open Settings in the PageCrawl app, find Alerts, and tap Turn on alerts. Allow notifications and tap Send a test notification to check delivery. Alerts follow scheduled checks and your notification rules. See phone and desktop alerts for details and troubleshooting.
How would I track a product price?
Open the product page in your browser, share it to PageCrawl, and choose Price if the app offers it for that page. Review the check frequency and notification options, then tap Start monitoring. PageCrawl records the price on scheduled checks and alerts you when a detected change matches your rules.
For an unavailable item, choose Restock when offered. You can review its availability history in the app alongside the monitor's other changes.
What if I already installed PageCrawl from Chrome?
The older Install app or Add to Home screen route installs the mobile website. You can keep using it, but the native Google Play app is the recommended option for phone monitoring and alerts. Install it, sign in with the same account, and turn on alerts inside the app.
If both versions appear in the share sheet, choose the Google Play app. Once app alerts are enabled, PageCrawl uses the app for phone alerts in that workspace and keeps desktop browser notifications separate. You can remove the old Home Screen shortcut if you no longer use it.
Can I add pages without installing the app?
Yes. Open PageCrawl in your browser and add the page address there. The bookmarklet is another route to web setup. The native app is optional; your existing monitors remain available on the web whether or not it is installed on your phone.
What if I use an iPhone or iPad?
The PageCrawl iPhone and iPad app also accepts pages from the native share sheet. Follow the Safari sharing guide. No iOS Shortcut installation is required.
