The Location dropdown in the monitor editor offers different connections for pages that do not load correctly with Auto. For business monitoring, we recommend Enterprise or Ultimate, which include managed Residential options at no extra cost. Web Unblocker is a separate, optional choice on those plans that uses purchased bandwidth at $10/GB.
For personal monitoring on a budget, PageCrawl Relay is worth trying if the public page opens through your own connection. Relay has no PageCrawl fee on any plan, including Free. It uses your own bandwidth and a computer you keep online, and normal monitoring limits apply.
Relay works with public pages only. It does not share your browser's signed-in session, so pages that require authentication still need a login configured in PageCrawl. No connection option guarantees access to every website. If you already have a proxy service, custom proxy pools also work on every plan.
When Do You Need Residential Proxies?
Start with Location: Auto and the default Engine. Consider another connection if:
- A page still shows an access-denied message or challenge after retries
- You need content from a country offered in the Location picker
Before purchasing bandwidth:
- For business monitoring, use Enterprise or Ultimate and try an included Residential option
- For personal monitoring, try PageCrawl Relay when the page works through your own connection and you can keep a computer online
- Reduce your check frequency if the site reports too many requests
- Contact support for help diagnosing the issue
How Web Unblocker Bandwidth Works
Web Unblocker uses bandwidth priced at $10/GB of data transferred. The included Residential options do not use this purchased balance. Bandwidth for each Web Unblocker check depends on the page size:

Cost Impact of Check Frequency
Check frequency has a large impact on Web Unblocker bandwidth consumption. For 10 pages using 2 MB per check, the estimates below use 1,024 MB per GB and a 30-day period. Purchases are in whole GB; the purchase column assumes you start with no bandwidth balance.

Choose a check frequency that fits how soon you need to know about changes. More frequent checks use more bandwidth.
How to Set Up
- Go to Settings → More → Proxies in your account
- Purchase bandwidth (minimum 1 GB)
- Edit the monitor and select Web Unblocker under Location. In the simple editor, expand Page adjustments to find it
- Choose a country in Country (simple editor) or Proxy Country (advanced editor)
- Click Save Changes and review the next result. If another check is needed, use Run now or Check Now when available
Geo-Targeting
Use the country picker to choose where a Web Unblocker check should come from. This can help with localized pricing or regional content; the available countries are listed in the picker.
Monitoring Your Usage
- View your Web Unblocker bandwidth balance and daily usage in Settings → More → Proxies
- Usage statistics update every 15 minutes
- When your bandwidth reaches zero, Web Unblocker monitors can fall back to PageCrawl's other locations. A page that needs Web Unblocker may then fail to load
