Volunteering and Internships UNICEF Zambia regularly have positions for interns and United Nations Volunteers (UNVs). - Internships - Our internship programme is focused on current university students at certain universities in Zambia. By exposing students to the work of UNICEF, we hope to broaden their understanding of international development work. Their potential to contribute to UNICEF and its mandate during the internship and in their future professional activities is therefore significant. The process starts when one of our departments identifies a need for interns, and then our Human Resources colleagues work with Zambian universities with which we have established agreements. These are: The University of Zambia, Zambia Center for Accountancy studies, Evelyn Hon College, Copperbelt University, and Mulungushi University. The universities send us a selection of profiles to look at, according to agreed guidelines. - UN Volunteers - You can contribute your time, skills and knowledge through volunteering with the UN, including with UNICEF Zambia. This is an opportunity to create positive impact and being a significant force for achieving peace and development. For more information on the scheme, visit the UNV global website.
