A detected change is only useful once somebody acts on it. When a competitor raises a price or a supplier rewrites its terms, the alert lands in one person's inbox, gets forwarded, and the follow-up lives in a thread nobody else can see.

PageCrawl can now write each detected change straight onto a [monday.com](https://monday.com) board as an item. The columns carry the page, its importance and the summary, the diff is posted as an update on the item, and from there it is ordinary monday.com work: assign an owner, set a status, discuss it, close it.

### What does the monday.com integration do?

It creates a monday.com item for every change PageCrawl detects on the monitors you route to a board. The item name is the page title, the columns you choose hold details such as the link, importance score, change date and labels, and the summary and diff are posted as the item's first update.

A workspace can write to several boards. Each board is a destination with its own monitor selection, so a pricing folder can feed a pricing board while monitors labelled *terms* feed a legal board. A change that matches both lands on both, and a problem with one board never holds up the others.

PageCrawl creates the items itself. There is no automation recipe to build in a separate tool, and nothing to maintain when monday.com or PageCrawl change their data formats.

### What does each item contain?

Each item holds the page title as its name, the columns you picked, and an update with the change itself. The update lists the summary, the AI summary when there is one, and the changed lines, with added words in bold and removed words struck through, plus a link back to the full diff in PageCrawl.

The columns map to monday.com column types, so they sort and filter the way you expect:

| What PageCrawl writes | monday.com column |
|---|---|
| URL, View in PageCrawl, Screenshot | Link |
| Changed at | Date |
| Importance (0 to 100), Difference % | Numbers |
| Domain, Folder, Labels | Dropdown |
| Short Summary, AI Summary, Current Value | Long text |

The update appears in the item's [Updates section](https://support.monday.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005900249), which is where your team already comments on work. Replies, mentions and files sit right under the change they are about.

### Should I use Item per change or Item per monitor?

Use **Item per change** when every change is something to review or act on, such as terms updates, regulatory pages or competitor announcements. Use **Item per monitor** when the board should show the current state of each page, such as a price list or stock tracker, with one item per page that PageCrawl keeps up to date.

**Item per change** builds a running history. Turn on the optional **Review** status column and every new item starts as *To review*. PageCrawl never touches that status again, so your team moves the item through whatever stages your board already uses, as with any [status column](https://support.monday.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001269685).

**Item per monitor** adds monitor columns such as Last checked, Change count and Monitor status, so a page that stopped checking stands out on the board. Values that disappear from the page are cleared from the item rather than left behind.

### How do I connect PageCrawl to monday.com?

Open **Settings** > **Integrations**, click **Connect** on the monday.com card and approve access in monday.com. Then click **Add destination**, choose a board, decide what to write and which monitors feed it, and click **Add**. The next detected change appears on the board as an item.

1. In PageCrawl, go to [Settings > Integrations](/app/settings/workspace/integrations) and find the **monday.com** card
2. Click **Connect**, sign in to monday.com and approve access
3. Click **Add destination**
4. Under **Where it goes**, pick an existing board (and optionally the group new items go into), or choose **Create a board for me** and the monday.com workspace it belongs in
5. Under **What to write**, choose **Item per change** or **Item per monitor**
6. Under **Which monitors**, choose all monitors, or limit it by label, folder, website or a hand-picked list
7. Tick the **Columns to write** and click **Add**

To fill the board with changes that already happened, open the destination's menu and choose **Sync recent history**. It sends the most recent changes for each monitor, up to 25 per monitor and 500 in total, and skips anything the board already holds.

### Will PageCrawl change my existing board?

PageCrawl only adds what it needs. On an existing board it creates the columns you selected that are missing, reuses columns that already exist with the same name and type, and never edits or deletes your other items or columns. If a column has the right name but the wrong type, PageCrawl names it and stops instead of writing into it.

It also adds a **PageCrawl ID** column, which records the change each item came from. That is how PageCrawl avoids creating the same item twice, even when it has to retry a write. You can hide the column in your board view.

Writes are paced well within [monday.com's API limits](https://developer.monday.com/api-reference/docs/rate-limits), so a burst of changes across many monitors does not crowd out the other apps your account uses.

### When does a change show up on the board?

A change is written after the check that detects it, so how soon it appears depends on how often that monitor is checked. Checks run as often as every two minutes, depending on your plan. Items are created whatever the change's importance score, so the board is a complete record; use the Importance column to sort or filter.

If monday.com reports that a board was deleted or is no longer shared with you, that destination pauses and PageCrawl notifies you. Restore access, then choose **Resume**.

### Who is it for?

The integration suits teams that already plan their week in monday.com:

- **Pricing and e-commerce teams** watching competitor prices and stock, with one item per product page
- **Compliance and legal teams** reviewing terms, policies and regulatory pages, each change starting as *To review*
- **Marketing and product teams** tracking competitor launches, release notes and landing pages, routed by label to the people who own them

The monday.com integration is included on the Standard, Enterprise and Ultimate plans. The full field reference and troubleshooting steps are in the help article [Send Detected Changes to a monday.com Board](/help/integrations/article/monday-board-sync.md). If your team works in Notion instead, the same routing is available for [Notion databases](/help/integrations/article/notion-database-sync.md).
